Discover Piatra Craiului

Everything you need to know about our landscape

Your Piatra Craiului expedition should begin in Prapastiile Zarnestiului canyon. A 2KM trail runs through the canyon, renowned
for its mind-blowing landscapes. It has been featured in numerous films such as Drumul Oaselor, Cold Mountain, Margelatu and a
‘Rammstein’ music video.

Among the picturesque hills of Piatra Craiului National Park, in the commune of Moeciu, there is a small mountain village called
Magura. Magura is a village where the locals follow a traditional Romanian lifestyle and happy to share their personal stories with
visitors or information about the formation and development of their charming surroundings.

Here you have the opportunity to spend time among the animals that walk through the grass, or simply to admire the beautiful
landscapes of the mountains.
